The new SA Ladies Record for Swing pilot.

On 27^th November 2007 Des Pansi flew from De Aar to Plooysburg, a distance of 186km. This is the new South African Ladies Distance Record, and breaks the previous record of 154km (also set by Des). She was flying Swing Astral5.22. It was a slow day with a light basewind, so she had to fly for almost 7 ½ hours. “It was slow, very difficult in the beginning with lots of low saves, nice big climbs later on when it warmed up, easy if you stayed high but hard work if you got low. It was nice to have other pilots in the area, the Swiss team and Leon, and my husband Arnold below in the retrieve vehicle.”
